About the role


BearingPoint Romania is looking for qualified professionals with experience in Compliance, Regulatory, or Risk topics to join our Business Consulting team within the “Financial Services” practice.


You will support our customers in project management focusing on Compliance: anti-money laundering and terrorist financing, know-your-customer/know-your-enterprise, non-financial risk management, capital market compliance, conflict of interest management, and Data Privacy.


The primary focus is to support and help in the core compliance areas of KYC, AML transaction monitoring, and PEP and sanction screening.


  • Compliance with Regulations: Ensuring KYC processes, procedures, and sanctions control adhere to relevant laws and regulations, such as AML and customer due diligence requirements.

  • Conducting Customer Due Diligence: Reviewing and verifying customer information and documentation to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

  • Risk Assessment: Assessing and scoring the risk associated with each entity and analyzing related documentation.

  • Transaction Monitoring: Monitoring customer transactions for suspicious activity or patterns indicating money laundering, fraud, or other illicit activities.

 

The requirements needed

 

  • Bachelor's or master’s degree in Economics/IT/Finance;

  • German and English advanced  (C1 level);  is mandatory; other languages are a big plus;

  • Previous experience with banking institutions required, with a focus on KYC, AML, and/or financial crime prevention roles;

  • Interest/Experience in the field of Compliance and/or Non-Financial Risk Management (Governance, Organization, Processes, Applications and Operations);

  • Experience in consulting is valued, or the candidate should have an interest in transitioning to a consulting career;

  • The position requires availability to travel outside of Romania.
