About the job opportunity


In 2021, the European Union (EU) introduced the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), a significant legal development. This directive mandates that companies publicly disclose their environmental and social impact. Its overarching objective is to establish a framework that ensures the disclosed sustainability data is comparable, relevant, and reliable.

The CSRD brings about a transformative change by compelling companies to disclose their sustainability data. In preparation for this Directive, our internal firmwide Sustainability Team is looking for you to support us as a EU-CSRD Data Specialist.



Who and what are we looking for?



  • Develop and implement strategies: Collaborate with our “Emission Zero”-Team and other cross-functional teams to design and execute data management strategies aligned with the EU-CSRD requirements. Ensure compliance with reporting standards and guidelines.

  • Data collection and analysis: Oversee the collection, validation, and analysis of ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) data. Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate and comprehensive reporting.

  • Stakeholder engagement: Work closely with the Global Lead Sustainability to ensure engagement with internal and external stakeholders, including regulators, and industry bodies. Communicate data management practices, progress, and impact effectively.

  • Technology integration: Leverage technology solutions to streamline data collection, reporting, and analysis. Stay informed about emerging tools and platforms for efficient ESG-data management.

  • Risk assessment: Identify potential risks related to data quality, accuracy, or compliance. Develop mitigation strategies to address any gaps or challenges.

  • Reporting and disclosure: Support the Marketing Team and Global Lead Sustainability to develop high-quality Sustainability reports in line with EU-CSRD guidelines. Ensure timely submission of reports to relevant authorities.

  • Continuous improvement: Monitor industry trends, regulatory updates, and best practices. Continuously enhance data management processes to drive transparency and accountability.

What Skills are required


  • A Master’s degree, preferably (corporate) sustainability-related or Business Administration, Organizational Psychology, or similar;

  • Proven track record (3-5 years) in sustainability and/or management consultancy or have an industry background within the field of sustainability with a focus on Reporting;

  • Reporting tool experience for example tools such as Workiva, SmartNotes, Clausion, and inDesign (for document creation only);

  • Strong analytical skills and numerical understanding as well as experience in diverse data gathering;

  • ESG regulation & certification knowledge (eg. GRI, CSRD/ESRS, CDP, TNFD, TCFD, SBT, B Corp);

  • ESG or corporate reporting experience e.g. voluntary reporting as part of the annual report's sustainability sections, GRI's ESG areas, CSRD/ESRS knowledge;

  • Proven project management skills such as good prioritization and coordination skills;

  • Strong communication skills in English (written and oral);

  • Preferred candidates have experience in one or more of the following topics:

  1. Efficient use of ad hoc tools as part of the communication needs (such as Power BI visualizations, and MS Office tools);

  2. Current socio-environmental challenges that businesses face (e.g. climate change, biodiversity loss, diversity and inclusion needs, resource depletion, and waste management etc.);

  3. Compliance with ESG / sustainability frameworks and regulations such as CSRD, EU Taxonomy, CSDD, GRI);

  4. Assurance and Auditing (GHG Inventory, Double Materiality Assessments, CSRD Gap Analysis);

  5. General corporate reporting;

  6. Greenhouse gas accounting.
